What we collect

When you submit a rental request we collect the information you enter on the form:

• Your name, phone number, and email address
• The delivery address for the equipment
• The equipment or package requested, the rental period, and your desired start date
• Your chosen delivery option
• Any notes you add, including the optional field asking what you are recovering from

We also collect standard website data through our hosting platform and analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site.

We do not collect or store your card details. Payment is processed by Stripe, who handle card data directly under their own terms and privacy policy.

Health-related information

This deserves saying plainly, because our request form invites it.

The form includes an optional field asking what you are recovering from. We ask because it helps us check that the equipment you have chosen is a sensible fit before we deliver it. You are not required to answer, and leaving it blank will not stop us processing your request.

Anything you write there is treated as confidential. It is visible only to Caliber staff handling your rental. It is not used for marketing, and it is not shared with anyone outside Caliber except where we are legally required to disclose it.

We keep it for 24 months after your rental ends, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Caliber is not a healthcare provider and this information is not a medical record. We are not a HIPAA covered entity. Please do not send us clinical documents, imaging, or detailed medical history through this form.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

• Check availability and respond to your request
• Arrange delivery, setup, and collection
• Send you an itemized total and take payment
• Contact you during the rental about extensions, faults, or collection
• Keep records of which unit went to which rental, which is how our equipment verification works

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.

We will only email you marketing if you have separately opted in, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the parties needed to deliver your rental:

• Payment processing — Stripe, to issue invoices and take payment
• Website hosting and forms — Squarespace, which stores form submissions
• Analytics — Google Analytics, in aggregated form
• Delivery — a shipping carrier, if your equipment is shipped rather than delivered by us

We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies set by our hosting platform to make the site function, and analytics cookies to help us understand which pages are useful.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may affect how parts of the site work.

We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell data to advertisers.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Send you a copy of the information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons
• Stop sending you marketing

Our site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
